Landscape-led edge of village housing masterplan

Emsworth, Hampshire

This long thin site in the Hampshire Village of Emsworth currently houses a redundant plant Nursery, which in recent years has been used as a storage facility. The bottom portion of the site also sits within an AONB.

These presented significant challenges and led to a landscape led design approach for a housing scheme for 30 dwellings, along with extensive new buffer planting and a large landscaped amenity space.

A swale is proposed to run through the site which will create a sustainable drainage scheme and enhance the amenity space to the south. Working alongside a consultant team including landscape designer, sustainability, planning and transport consultants, we masterplanned the scheme and developed several house type designs.
